North Star Kimberley Pt 2

If you travel to the Kimberley coast, leave your watch at home because the huge 10 metre tides govern the time. With massive tides, boating is not for the unseasoned sailor. Navigating through in and around the rocky waterways can be tricky and unpredictable.

At low tide, the water level at the Kings Cascades is barely deep enough to float a 5 metre tender, but by high tide, the True North can front the nose of the boat right underneath the cascades to get an extreme close up of one of the Kimbeley's natural highlights.

As you can imagine a 10m tides runs pretty quick, so it's the changing of the tides when the flow slows up a little that we head out in the tenders to wet a line. This part of the world can provide some of Australia's most exciting adventure fishing.
