Born and raised in Perth, Melissa always had the desire to travel. At age 19, she moved abroad and spent three years working and travelling throughout the UK, Europe, Africa and Thailand. This experience encompassed all things Melissa - travelling, shopping, food and adventure!
 
Upon returning to Australia Melissa completed her Bachelor of Communications Degree – (Double Major in PR and Advertising), which lead to the beginning of her media career in radio with the Austereo network (92.9/Mix 94.5). On air Melissa began doing voice-over work, then as the traffic reporter, then she formed part of a Saturday morning breakfast show. Currently Melissa co-host’s “The Rivervale Sunday Session” live on radio station 92.9. Off air Melissa is an integral part of the promotions department.
 
In 2007 Melissa returned to study and attended the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAPPA) where she completed her Graduate Diploma in Broadcasting.

With lifestyle television her passion Melissa began as a presenter on Postcards at the end of 2007.

Other TV appearances include local Channel Nine programmes: Just Add Water, Jobs Hub, Bibs & Bubs, Wedding Belles and Winter Escapes. Plus Channel Sevens programme ‘Sunrise’ as their traffic Reporter. Melissa also hosts/MC’s numerous events, including the Miss Universe WA Sate Final alongside Wil Anderson.
